In the city of Beijing, People's Republic of China, the Global Forum for the Promotion of the Special Economic Zone (ZEE) of Paraguaná and the Meeting for the Promotion of Joint Development of the Paraguaná Peninsula were held, with the objective of promoting and boosting economic development and foreign investment in Venezuela.

The event was attended by more than 250 private companies, whose representatives learned first-hand about the potential and benefits of investment in the various productive sectors, such as the oil industry, petrochemicals, tourism, fishing and agriculture, as well as the guarantees of legal and legal security existing for foreign investors in Venezuela.

The national superintendent of the Venezuelan EEZ and Deputy Minister of International Trade Policy, Johann Álvarez Márquez, explained the growth and economic recovery of the South American nation and the economic reforms implemented, emphasizing the development of productive sectors as an alternative to oil production.

For her part, representing the Ministry of Popular Power of Industries and National Production and the International Center for Productive Investment (CIIP), Indhriana Parada highlighted the new existing associative models to facilitate investment and opportunities, fiscal and tax benefits in the Paraguaná Peninsula, Carabobo, La Guaira, Turtle Island and Nueva Esparta, pointing out the high profitability, rapid return of investment and access to Latin American markets.

Meanwhile, the Single Authority of the ZEE of Paraguaná, Sergio Luis Quintero, described the natural riches and strategic location of this peninsula, the geopolitical advantages it offers, with access to consumers from South America, the Caribbean and North America.

The Venezuelan ambassador to China, AJ Remigio Ceballos Ichaso, recognized the efforts of the high-level commission sent by President Nicolás Maduro, reaffirming the commitment to multipolarity and respect for the sovereignty of peoples, as well as the unity between Venezuela and China as a relationship “at all times and under all tests” and inviting Chinese businessmen to invest in their country.
