The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Iván Gil Pinto, assured that the United States is trying to minimize the role of Venezuela in the global energy equation.

“The country that has the largest energy reserves on the planet is trying to impose rules to direct this potential to a certain sector, in this global trade war,” he said Monday in an interview with the radio program Cable a Tierra.

In this regard, he said that despite the incessant sanctions faced by Venezuela, the country has a large number of international companies interested in investing in its commercial and energy sector.

With regard to international relations, he pointed out that “the current times seem to face a global crisis in terms of rights and diplomacy, adding that the reasons are due to the factors of hegemonic powers and their constant abuses.”

In this regard, he highlighted the role of ALBA-TCP as “the vanguard of Latin America, which carries the flag of dignity and sovereignty”.
