Two new works by writers from the Nirgua municipality were presented during the Yaracuy Literary Marathon 2026, held in the spaces of the Librería del Sur, in San Felipe, with poems and stories being read to the audience.

The day was attended by María Ysabel Camacaro, who presented her book Presentialism: Echoes of Silence and Dark Legends by Nirgua, and the poet Eterminio Sánchez, who named her work What's Happening in the World.

Camacaro's book, published in Nirgua in 2026, brings together stories inspired by local nighttime legends and poetic texts about silence, loneliness, sleep, insomnia and the house as a universe.

The author develops in the work the concept of creative and inert personalism, associated with a poetics of objects.

For its part, What is happening in the world, published in October 2026 by the Fundación Editorial El Perro y la Rana through its regional system, contains 25 poems dedicated to characters from Nirgua and Simon Bolivar, as well as reflections on social justice, love, nature and the ancient celebration of the May Cross.

As part of the meeting, both authors gave copies of their books to Ana Morales, director of the Yaracuy State Public Library Network, to be incorporated into the collection of regional writers in the State Hall of the San Felipe Central Public Library.
