XVIII World Poetry Festival comes to the Museum of Culture of Carabobo

The Museum of Culture of Carabobo opened its doors to host the XVIII World Poetry Festival of Venezuela, which began last Monday, July 8 in Caracas and honors the Barinese bard Leonardo Gustavo Ruiz, with activities and presentations in all regions of the country.

According to information from Venezolana de Televisión, six great national and international poets participated in this day, including Venezuelans Arnaldo Jiménez, Vanileiby Rivas and Rumilda Jiménez, Luis Lorente (Cuba), Lubi Prates (Brazil) and Ashur Etwebi (Libya).

The poets participating in this recital delighted the audience with their poems, expressed their deepest feelings and experiences reflected in each word.

“We celebrate with great joy this 18th edition of the Venezuela World Poetry Festival Carabobo Chapter, thank you President Nicolás Maduro for maintaining these beautiful, wonderful programs that show the world all the tranquility, peace and love that the country has at the moment and our national and international poets are showcases for the world” (...) said the Secretary of Culture of the Carabobo state, Nathaly Bustamante.

The Venezuelan World Poetry Festival will conclude on July 13, with the participation of poets from Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Belgium, Chile, Cuba, the United States, El Salvador, Ecuador, Honduras, Italy, Libya, Martinique, Mexico, Paraguay, Palestine, the Netherlands, Syria and Uruguay.
