This Friday, the National Assembly (AN) handed over five homes in Guarenas, Miranda state, to legislative workers who lost their homes during the double earthquake in June, as part of a plan that will benefit a total of 27 families, according to the director of National Assets of the Parliament, María Fátima Dos Santos.

“With these actions, the Legislative Branch reaffirms its commitment to the social protection of its human talent, in the face of contingency situations and natural disasters,” said Dos Santos during the delivery, which was supported by the National Government, as published by the AN on the web.

The official specified that the houses are in excellent condition, furnished and with basic utensils, and that they have the green label granted by the Presidential Commission for the Evaluation of Habitability of Infrastructure. He also indicated that these are new properties purchased in the secondary market, fully equipped and with the necessary basic services.

The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the Board of Directors of the NA for the prompt response and considered that the award represents significant relief and a new beginning for their families. The houses are located in the urban areas Nueva Casarapa, Ciudad Casarapa, Parque Residencial La Sabana, ConJUNTO Residencial Terrazas de Niquitao and ConJUNTO Residencial Los Jardines.
