With the raising of the flag, they commemorated the 194th anniversary of the Liberator's passage to eternity (+photos)

This Tuesday, December 17, the sectoral vice-president for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, led the events commemorating the 194th Anniversary of the passage into eternity of the Liberator Simon Bolivar.

From the spaces of the National Pantheon, in Caracas, Cabello was accompanied by the first vice-president of the National Assembly, Pedro Infante; the Head of Government of Caracas, Nahum Fernández; the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez; the Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas; among other authorities and representatives of the High Command Military, to raise the National Tricolor in honor of one of the greatest men in Latin America and the Caribbean.

On December 17, 1830, the Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, in Santa Marta, Colombia, was silent after the death of El Libertador Simón Bolívar, considered the greatest man in America, the most outstanding revolutionary in Latin American history, a person who dedicated his life to freeing not only Venezuela, but the entire region from the Spanish yoke.

In honor of his example of struggle and the recognition of the ideals of El Libertador, the Eternal Commander, Hugo Chávez, launched a process of profound changes in the social, political, economic and human sphere of Venezuela, which would be constituted in 1999, in a new Magna Carta, which carries with it the profound anti-imperialist sentiment, desires and challenges of a people under the maxim of Simon Bolivar of the Supreme Social Happiness, Social Inclusion, and the Rule of Law and Justice.
