(CLARÍN, June 5, 1963)
- Thus, several media outlets denounced the police methods used against youth during the government of Rómulo Betancourt (1959-1964), while Carlos Andrés Pérez was Minister of Internal Relations.
- Edgard Carrillo was a 22-year-old office worker, who served in the Municipal Statistics Control of the Mayor's Office of Caracas.
- For no reason, this young worker was killed by agents of the Judicial Technical Police (PTJ) in front of the MERSIFRICA market in Simón Rodríguez.
- His body had four bullet punctures with an entrance hole in his back, caused by officials, who alleged that Edgard refused to show his identity card when it was requested.
- The killers tried to indict agents of the Municipal Police of Caracas as the perpetrators of the crime. Later, when the authorship was proven, they tried to create a criminal record for the murdered young man.
- During the burial, more than 3,000 residents and friends of the Simón Rodríguez sector went to pay homage to the worker who had fallen by the government's repressive policy.
