With a 5K walk in Ocumare de la Costa, they raise awareness about the prevention of breast cancer

With the massive participation of the community, women's movements and local authorities, the recreational walk 5K Walk for the Prevention of Breast Cancer was successfully carried out, a day dedicated to promoting health, sports and the early detection of this pathology in Ocumare de la Costa de Oro in the state of Aragua.

The activity was organized by the Pascuala López Municipal Institute for Women's Care (IMAM), as part of the commemorative and awareness-raising actions being deployed in the jurisdiction to guide the population on the importance of timely checks.

The event was attended by the mayor of the Ocumare municipality of the Gold Coast, Wilmer Leal, accompanied by members of the municipal cabinet, directors of the Mayor's Office, community leaders and coastal families who traveled the 5 kilometers in a festive and supportive atmosphere.

During the meeting, Leal highlighted the commitment of local management to the well-being and comprehensive health of women in the municipality. “The support and energy of our people were fundamental to the successful development of this day. Early detection is key to saving lives, and from the Mayor's Office we will continue to promote spaces for prevention, recreation and life,” said Leal.

The day ended in a leisure space that combined sports, family integration and the preventive message, reaffirming the articulated work between the IMAM and the local government in favor of community health
