The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, attended the World Congress against Fascism, Neofascism and similar expressions, in which he reaffirmed the fight against this scourge that seeks to destroy the free peoples of the world.
In that sense, he contextualized how Venezuela has had to live and fight against fascism.
- “Venezuela is a great laboratory, whatever they try to do with Venezuela, if it works out for them, they are going to do it with other Peoples and notice how when I say with other Peoples, I don't mean with other governments but with other Peoples, because this is not a matter of government this is a matter of Peoples.”
- “I already had an extermination laboratory here, under the guise of a democratic regime, more than 11,000 young people were murdered in Venezuela and disappeared, many of them still don't appear, there are 3,000 who don't appear.”
- Everything they have put into practice in Chile or Argentina, “they developed here in Venezuela and then they took our officers to something they call the School of the Americas, to teach them how to murder their own people; well, of course, nobody here called fascism, it was democracy supported by North American imperialism.”
- “Fascism is the enemy of Peoples, not of governments, we have experienced it here.”
- With the arrival of Commander Hugo Chávez, “the People appeared” and “hatreds broke out”.
- “We were like a kind of limbo, but they helped us when they staged a coup d'etat against Commander Chávez on April 11, 2002 and the people began to see the claws and fangs of fascism and they ruled 47 hours; they persecuted, murdered, abolished this Constitution and launched a coup d'etat of freedom.”
He referred to the interference of Spain and the United States in the internal affairs of Venezuela; as well as to the false positive he seeks today against our country and therefore emphasized the importance of using our technologies to wage the communication battle.
- “They want to meddle in the internal affairs of Venezuela, they create colonies for us and they create an empire. From here we threw them out 300 years ago and we're going to kick them out again every time they try to get into Venezuela, them and any imperialist.”
- “About a drug shipment seized in Guinea-Bissau (...) That plane was never in Venezuela, it never touched Venezuelan land, but the headlines say it; that if yesterday Brazil captured a helicopter from Venezuela, no that's not from Venezuela, it's from drug trafficking and here the largest consumer of drugs in the world is the North American empire.”
- “We have to walk the streets with the telephone to tell the world the truth about what is happening in the Villages. Here they have gone so far as to say that in Venezuela there is violence in the streets, the truth is that there is peace and freedom here (...) that every time an international visitor shows the truth of our country, justice and the fight against fascism triumphs”.
- “Fix your problems, gentlemen of the United States, you have a lot of problems! They have pure misery, terrible social problems. 50 million poor people and there is no government that governs for the poor in that country.”
- It is the United States that puts drugs into production in the world, and uses its means to say “that Venezuelans are the bad guys, because here Venezuela doesn't produce drugs, more than 80 tons have been confiscated here, but the narrative for the world is the 'dictator who uses territory to destabilize regions for drug trafficking, for money laundering', we have seen that film”.
- The U.S. government resolves everything with violence, “with bombings”, regardless of the integrity of the Peoples.
- “How is fascism financed? For one thing we call NGOs, because they depend on the Government of the United States or on the Governments of the European Union. NGOs attack, persecute, stage coups d'etat. Their methods are capable of turning perpetrators into victims.”
He stressed that the country has been a victim of fascism by the extreme right but that actions have been taken and will be taken as established by the country's laws and justice.
- “It's a perverse thing, they (the extreme right) used minors (...) they exposed them like shields and threw them into the streets”.
- “The children were put to death... they disguise themselves, we must admit them; in the words of President Nicolás Maduro they do the harm and then blame it on someone else.”
- The Anti-Hate Act “that has worked; and those who protested against the Act are those who ordered the country to burn down”
- The proposal was carried out through a consultation to consolidate participatory and leading democracy.
He reaffirmed the importance of the unity of the world's free peoples in fighting this battle.
- “Fascism is cowardly. He is terrified of the People, of the popular organization, of the Peoples who want to be free. Fascism terrifies the unity of Peoples, regardless of the presidents who are governing.”
- “You see them and wonder where their reactions, their statements come from. The reason is always that imperialism knows something about them and they extort them, make them declare and make them forget about their struggles so that they attack the Peoples who have decided to be free.”
- “Commander (Hugo) Chávez said it: 'When we are united, the whole of America and all of America crows like a single rooster, they will respect us'; because if we, everyone walks by their own side, for their own projects, forgetting about the Peoples, they are going to eat it, they are going to swallow it, let's make life impossible for imperialism, imperialism does not know the answer that the Peoples are capable of giving”.
- “Here we are determined to be free and we will be free in spite of imperialism, in spite of the fascists, the haters, the European Union and the friends who turn their backs on us.”
On the World Congress against Fascism, Neo-Fascism and similar expressions, he emphasized:
- It comes at a good time, “to give an answer to a movement that tries to silence the Peoples, that tries to destroy the Peoples, that tries to subdue the Peoples”.
- “We have to identify them in time (the fascists), today they give signs, they group up and sometimes we think that is doing politics.”
- “I invite you to create an International against Fascism on all fronts, spaces and places in the world to debate and talk about it.”
- “In November we are going to hold the youth congress with the students against fascism.”
- “I propose to organize the Anti-Fascist Communication Congress for December, because if we have to be ready for something, it's to communicate.”
- “I ask that the Congress does not end without a resolution against the genocide in Palestine and condemns Israel.”
He also took the opportunity to thank the international guests at the Congress for accompanying Venezuela in this new struggle and battle of the world's free peoples.
- “We thank them because they are courageous women and men, who, with their presence here in our country, accompany us in this fight, in this battle that is our battle, but which is also your battle.”
- They demonstrate to the world their historical position, and “imperialism has mechanisms to persecute those who raise their voices against them.”
