The vice-president of Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, participated in the Continuing Business Media Coup Forum, where he highlighted the vision and the overturning of the country's police forces, which, thanks to the Revolution, are now an instrument for the protection and defense of the People.
- “Nowadays, without a doubt, the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) and the police forces have become an instrument for our people. In the past, police forces were used to attack their people.”
- “At any time there are the colleagues and colleagues of the police with their people's face, with their humble face, with their gift of people ahead (...) to preserve for the peace of mind of all Venezuelans.”
- “In the Fourth Republic, the police had other tasks; the first of the tasks was the repression against our people, persecution, the application of laws that had a lot to do with human abuse, especially the law for the poorest.”
- “Today things are different and at any time there are the colleagues and colleagues of the police with their people's face, with their humble face, with their gift of people ahead (...) to preserve for the peace of mind of all Venezuelans.”
The Minister for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, also emphasized the importance of preserving physical morality, promoting example and the vocation that must be given to each of the members of the country's police forces.
- “At the headquarters in Caracas and throughout Venezuela, they have to be part of the training of those young people who come and if we must transmit something to them, it is ethics and morals.”
- “Under no circumstances can we allow slaughter. That should not be allowed under any circumstances, in any instance, at any level. I don't want to see cops looking after premises either, that's not good.”
- “We have to have police officers who are aware of their role, identified with their people, with people on the street, who make the people feel calm and peace, so that people see a policeman feel that they are safe.”
- “It is essential to cultivate real leadership within the police forces. When there is leadership and a boss comes to the forefront, those behind it feel motivated, accompanied.”
He stressed the importance of ensuring respect for each of the police officers and committed himself to defending police action against those who intend to commit abuses under the cloak of office, social position or “connections”, as well as to ensuring better conditions every day for the performance of this important work.
- “They have insulted our police forces, they have messed with our police forces, there must be a clear and authoritative response, with respect for human rights but with firmness. No one should disrespect an official or a policeman on the street, no one can come and cheat on an official on the street, the hat is over; whoever wants to do the plating should talk to me.”
- “President Nicolás Maduro is very much in agreement and in the next few days, I don't like to be announcing anything, we will begin to see some measures to support the police forces, to provide care, to provide them.”
He warned of the plans that opposition extremism are being concocted against the country's peace, and so he insisted on the need to be alert.
- “These groups that we saw after the lessons were obviously paid, not to generate violence, but to generate hate, to kill people, linking criminal groups linked to what they call the Tren del Llano, the Aragua Train; linked to the underworld, so much so that for the first time in the history of Venezuela, criminal groups go out to campaign for a candidate.”
- “We will not get tired; we are going to defeat this enemy that today is threatening our country with the civic-military-police union.”
- “With regard to fascism, we have to know what they are like, we have to know that they will never give up until they see the bone in us. We have to work so they don't see our bone, but to see their bone we must also work.”
- “The civic-military union that our Commander Chávez pointed out was formalized on April 11, 2002 and President Maduro has been insistent on expanding this concept with the incorporation of the police, now it is up to us to build from below, a true civilian-military-police union; that the brothers who are in the neighborhoods feel their brothers for us, that the brothers who are in the barracks feel their brothers and that we are able to work together for the tranquility of this country.”
Meeting with the youth
Later, the also first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) participated in the III National Meeting of the Parliamentary Youth Network of Venezuela 2024, where he warned about how the scourge of fascism seeks to expand in our America, with the country as its main objective.
- “The fascists, what are they up to? Looking for mercenaries in the world to bring them to Venezuela, while their families are out of the country. The extreme right is paying mercenaries to harm the people of Venezuela.”
- “Fascism is nothing new, the thing is that we didn't write the historiography and that fascism here in Venezuela was given other names, they called it differently so that the world would believe it was democracy.”
- “During the Fourth Republic, more than 11,000 young people were murdered here, “of whom 3,000 are still missing, including the brother of Fernando Soto Rojas (...) full state terrorism, but they called that democracy (...), the governments of the Fourth Republic were fascist. One of the greatest fascists to govern this country was called the 'father of democracy' (Romulo Betancourt)”.
- “Fascism, from time to time, has poked its claws and teeth out. They did so on April 11; April 30; February 23; May 3; August 4; July 29 and 30. Fascism has a great burden of hate.”
He praised the work undertaken by Commander Hugo Chávez to free the country from the clutches of the ruling fascism in the Fourth Republic and in the formation of a conscious People.
- “Commander Hugo Chávez arrived to give the people a message of hope and sanity at a time when no one took responsibility.”
- “Chávez arrived with a message that demonstrated his greatness as a human being. If we were at the time of February 4th, it is likely that those who were sitting there (as an audience) at our ages would have been us (...) those of my generation”.
- “We were pure boys and we were sworn in at even the youngest academies. We started a war that ended for us in December of 98 when Chávez became president. Chávez fell in love with the People and the People fell in love with Chávez”
- “We don't have hate speech with anyone, we invite permanent embrace among Venezuelans. The Chavism marches are full of joy from start to finish.”
- “If the February 4th movement had anything since its inception, it was that it was absolutely anti-imperialist because the North American empire ruled here, nothing was done here without the permission of the gringos.”
In this regard, he asked patriot and Chavista youth to be at the forefront of this battle against fascism than to try to return to the country through violence promoted by opposition extremism.
- “Today what I want is for that to become green in a country that should already be cured of fascism.”
- “Youth have a spirit, strength and conviction that makes them capable of achieving all their dreams and achieving their goals.”
- “It's time to put a stop to fascism. Let them call us crazy, yes, crazy with love, joy, hope, optimism, call us crazy whatever you want, but let's never fall into anything like that.”
- “We must all take care of ourselves, be aware, I have told these young women who are here on the political team of the Youth Directorate, they must take care of themselves, that no one can walk around alone. We can't give papaya!”
