The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, led the meeting of the leadership of the red awning where he reviewed national and international politics, as well as reporting on the actions that will be carried out together with the militancy in the coming days to defend sovereignty, consolidate popular democracy and guarantee peace.
During the press conference, the leader began his words by highlighting the advances that the Bolivarian Revolution has promoted in terms of gender equality, in order to commemorate the International Day against Violence against Women.
- “Women as human beings must be respected, women as human beings must be given the spaces that belong to them and here in Venezuela Commander (Hugo) Chávez opened those doors.”
- A series of activities have been organized in the country, including the installation of 24 Feminist Tribunes throughout the country, “to recognize women”.
Venezuela is the vanguard in the fight against anti-fascism
On the other hand, he referred to the efforts being carried out from Venezuela to consolidate an anti-fascist front for peace, as well as activities to celebrate the triumph of the revolutionary forces in the last presidential elections of July 28, where President Nicolás Maduro was victorious.
- On November 27 and 28, the International Anti-Fascist Promotion Committee will be installed in Caracas, in order to provide answers and assign tasks to prevent fascism from prevailing in the world.
- For this meeting, delegations from all over the world will come to install this anti-fascist front.
- Also, for November 28, a great cantata for peace and joy will be held in all Bolivar squares in the country to celebrate the four months of the great popular victory of last July 28.
- “We do celebrate, because we have reasons. Bitter people are always trying to take Christmas away from people. That happened in 2002 and then they get upset when the president (Nicolás Maduro) tells them that we are going to celebrate Christmas in October.”
- For Saturday, November 30, we are going to the training and deployment day in all state capitals for the Integral Defense of the Homeland. The PSUV is deployed to defend the homeland (...) peace must be built”.
- “Venezuela has become, and Caracas has become, the capital of the fight against fascism and that is a point in favor of the unity of peoples and a point against fascism.”
- Fascism will not surprise Venezuela and the free peoples of the world, “we will be prepared”.
More popular democracy
He also highlighted the importance of the election of justices of the peace for Venezuelan democracy and the Powers of the Bolivarian State and called for participation.
- “On December 15, there will be elections in all communal circuits for justices of the peace. We ask the Party and social movements for their participation, vigilance and support in this great day of participatory and leading democracy.”
- “It must be a day where Popular Power expresses itself; there is no line here, only for the people to express themselves and begin to rule. The Party will have its days to give full induction and support and let the People decide what they have to decide.”
Merry and Peaceful Christmas
He indicated that as part of the preparatory activities for a Happy and Peaceful Christmas, a series of events will be held for the enjoyment of the People.
- “The first of December marks the beginning of the month of popular festivities, great days of joy for our people.”
- “Those who are Catholics will go out to enjoy the masses, those who are Christians or evangelicals will also have their days on Sunday.”
Impunity is over
With reference to the plans being promoted by the United States against Venezuela and the leadership of the Bolivarian Revolution, he welcomed the approval of the Simon Bolivar Liberator Law, which allowed the prosecution to charge the extremist María Corina Machado.
- “Impunity has ended for sectors of the extreme right that demand sanctions and invasions against the country.”
- “It's a very severe law, it provides for the extinction of domination, 30 years in prison, life sentences, political disqualification, they will not be able to hold public office or election for the rest of their lives.”
- “The terrorist is disqualified for life (...) a person with psychiatric problems of that nature can never direct anything, if you ask for an invasion against your own country, imagine yourself leading that country”.
- “People must understand that impunity has ended in Venezuela and that what they do, applauding the United States, promoting sanctions and laws against Venezuela in the United States, must have a cost and they must feel that that cost is high (...) Impunity has ended for the terrorist María Corina, for the terrorists who accompany her, for those who are generating violence, for those who ask for sanctions, for those who ask for invasions, for those who ask for blockade. The chicken bottle is over!”
We don't eat with threats
Regarding the announcements that emerged from opposition extremism to unleash chaos and violence on December 1, as well as the threats of mercenaries such as Erik Prince against the country and the leaders of the Bolivarian Revolution, he said that:
- “With regard to what the terrorist lady María Corina Machado, a terrorist, says, have no doubt about it, she has said so many things (...) Since 2002 she has said that there is 'little to go', 'she is ready, ''getting weaker every day'. It's recycling, journalists call that a rehash, a caliche.”
- “How many times have they said this day is the date, this is the time? And here we are, and where are they? Disappeared, fleeing Venezuela, any kind of solidarity with their followers, they don't care, they don't care.”
- “We have been military objectives since Commander (Hugo) Chávez became president, since the Bolivarian Revolution decided to confront imperialism. Since we decided to be truly free, sovereign and independent, we are military objectives.”
- “That doesn't stop us from sleeping, whatever Eric Prince, an extortionist, says. Let them dream, let them keep dreaming, we will continue working, so on Saturday we have a day of national deployment, because it is the mistake of these people (the extreme right) to think that the issue is a person (...) They are not confronting a person, they are facing a Revolution”.
Extraordinary games
On the other hand, stressing the importance of sport, Cabello took the opportunity to send well-deserved congratulations to the athletes who participated in the Eastern 2024 National Games.
- “It was an extraordinary sporting and organizational success, with more than 6,000 athletes from 25 federal entities, including our Guiana Esequiba, taking part.”
- “I see the result and I wonder how many people live in Yaracuy? And look at the number of medals he won, it's impressive, as did La Guaira and Apure, a sign of the massification of the sport throughout Venezuela.”
Tribute to Fidel and Maradona
The Psuvist leader did not miss the opportunity to pay a well-deserved tribute to Commander Fidel Castro on the occasion of commemorating 8 years since the planting of this Giant of Our America, as well as to the soccer star Diego Armando Maradona.
- “Fidel will forever be an ethical, moral, revolutionary reference, of struggle, of solidarity, of his ability to say and do.”
- “Fidel is a man who will be remembered for all time, his enemies are not, his enemies no longer know who they are.”
- Diego Armando Maradona was the most important soccer player in South American history and a loyal friend to Venezuela and its people,
