The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, held the weekly press conference of the red awning, in which he highlighted important issues on the national and international agenda.

In this regard, he explained that among the agenda activities of the red awning is to accompany the next two congresses that will be held this month of November in the city of Caracas.

  • We are the greatest organizational strength in Venezuela, the Venezuelan opposition knows it, the whole world knows it, Venezuelans know it: The PSUV is the authentic vanguard of this Revolution.”
  • The Congress of the Historical Bloc will be held from November 14 to 16 in the city of Caracas.
  • “These are three fundamental points and we will be accompanying this debate with the structures of our party here in Caracas, but also in the states.”
  • “Comrades Ricardo Menéndez and Francisco Ameliach (...) have held meetings all over Venezuela, in all territories and in all sectors that live in our country. ”
  • From this Congress in which representatives of the five generations will participate, as has been done in the assemblies, some documents will come out that will be the working guide to 2054.
  • “If anyone has the capacity to defeat fascism, it is the youth, the youth of Venezuela and the youth of the world.”
  • He welcomed the holding of the International Anti-Fascist Youth Congress in the country from 21 to 22 November.
  • “Early detection is where we must attack fascism, when it is in its germination phase, not let it grow; we already have a lot of experience, 25 years of seeing cases and faces, so at this point we cannot let it surprise us again.”
  • “We taught the world a lesson, closing the doors to fascism on July 28, we closed it to them electorally. And what did they do? They went to violence and we closed them too, cutting off the path of violence.”

Cabello also referred to the presidential elections in the United States and pointed out that Venezuela will always demand respect. In addition, he referred to recent statements by the President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

  • “The elected president of the United States has to govern as of January 20, he will see, we have always maintained only one position and that is respect, but we demand respect for Venezuela.”
  • “Let them decide what their choices are like, their own system. But, if you ask me, I would say that in the United States there is no democracy, there is a bipartisan regime.”
  • “Hopefully they will complete and end the war, the massacre and the genocide against the Palestinian people . Hopefully they will put a stop to war and fascism in Ukraine.”
  • The imperialists intend to establish themselves as the “fathers of democracy” when they have such an archaic political system.
  • “The thing is that there are people who lose their tongues and then say: Oh I was wrong! (...) But the bottom line from all this is that they must respect our country (...) it's never too late, it's never too late.”
  • Venezuela has the oil that the world needs for 100 years “but you have to pay for it and you have to pay for it and clear accounts they maintain friendships and it will be up to the president of the United States and President Maduro who is sworn in ten days before, they will see; President Nicolás Maduro has had a very clear message regarding this issue ”.

In the same way, he stressed that the Bolivarian Government works for the security and peace of the country, so it does not need the opinion of parasites like Juan Guaidó. At the same time, he referred to different issues on the extreme right in Venezuela and especially to the refusal of Interpol to respond to the request for a red alert against Edmundo González. That organization has its mechanism, but behind that refusal is the story of the politically persecuted.

  • “In Venezuela, we will continue to work as a single machine for the tranquility, peace and security of all the people.”
  • (Guaidó) what he is looking for is for someone to name him to go out and answer to see if they give him a space.
  • “They will continue to insist on violence, because only with violence would they have a place to start.”
  • “Security and peace were verified by the parliamentarians who attended the World Forum against Fascism that took place in Caracas, they saw a tranquility that many in their countries do not experience.”
  • “It's very cowardly that they want to light the candle here in Venezuela and run away and leave their people who don't understand what happened.”
  • “Here we are going to wait for him (Edmundo González) at the Venezuelan airport, everyone who wants to go will receive him on January 10, they are invited. Justice always comes and will come to all of them.”
  • In the country “there are no politicians imprisoned, no, no, here there are some violent criminals who murdered 27 people” and are being held.
  • “There, two of our women were murdered with a lot of malevolence, with a lot of cruelty and malice to send a message; they murdered a National Guard and wounded more than 20 people across the country.”
  • Let us remain alert and constantly review what is happening in the country, “so that, in the most incipient phase of fascism, we can combat and defeat it”.
  • Ramón Guillermo Aveledo was the private secretary of Luis Herrera Campins when more than 20 young people were massacred in Cantaura. It's immoral for him to ask for an amnesty when he didn't give it to those murdered fishermen.”
  • “This is the end of the chicken bottle, here there will be justice in accordance with the Constitution and the Law; everyone who assumes their responsibility.”

Cabello mentioned the actions taken by sectors of the Venezuelan extreme right and their lackeys of imperialism to destabilize the country's economy.

  • “This is not the first time they have done this, it has been a constant exercise by them (of the extreme right), since inside they cannot win elections, they use two fronts: the international one, which is increasingly incredulous in the position of the Venezuelan opposition (...) and the other is the attack on the financial system.”
  • Just as the Bolivarian Revolution has defeated the sectors of the extreme right in other scenarios, “here too, because when they attack (...) they attack the small merchant, that is almost a sanction they are applying to him”.
  • People of Venezuela , and especially the merchants, “that's not the government, the government wants stability, the Revolution seeks tranquility so that you can work in peace and quiet, the enemies of the Fatherland are others.”
  • I have full confidence in the work done by the financial team of the Bolivarian Government, led by Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, to face destabilizing actions against the country's economy.

In addition, he noted that the PSUV is deployed throughout the country, with full participation in the debate for the reform of electoral laws promoted by the National Assembly (AN).

  • The Party “has a few deputies, it has a few governors, it has a few mayors, it has a few councilors, state legislators, but above all it has a few Venezuelans distributed throughout the country who support these proposals presented by brother Jorge Rodríguez (President of the AN) and promoted throughout the country”.
  • Opposition sectors also participate in the debate, whom he hears “on the subject of the defense of the country and the participation of those sectors that constantly live demanding sanctions, blockades and invasions against our country”.
  • “Who isn't participating? The violent, those who have never believed in the electoral issue, those who don't believe that Venezuela is a country that will succeed, those who think they can use shortcuts.”
  • “The National Assembly will soon approve these reforms of the laws, urgently, so that they are ready for elections, and we have been announcing that the PSUV and the Great Patriotic Pole are ready. Let them (the extremist opposition) come to an agreement”.
  • “There are still sectors that do not recognize the decision of the CNE ( National Electoral Council)”, so he questioned “how are they going to register candidates now, I don't know how that is going to be done (...) you cannot be participating in an election and after they lose then you go to the streets to violence and then you want to participate again”.
  • Venezuela is going to have elections next year and let the debate open, that is the best debate for this country, the participation of the people.”

He also reaffirmed the solidarity of the PSUV with the People and Government of Cuba in the face of the recent natural catastrophes that the island has suffered, such as the passage of two hurricanes and strong earthquakes.

  • “Our solidarity, our affection, our respect for sister Cuba, with this situation that they have been suffering in recent days. Two hurricanes in a row and yesterday it shook strongly, but this is a people that is used to fighting and winning.
  • The Cuban people have risen up in the worst conditions, “and they know they have our support.”
