This Monday, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, led the mobilization of the people of the parish of Coche in Caracas in rejection of illegal and criminal sanctions against the country by the United States.
During his speech at the end of the march that toured this emblematic parish in Caracas, the Psuvist leader pointed out the importance of the organization to guarantee a resounding victory in the upcoming presidential elections on July 28, stating that:
- “All together, to seek and obtain the greatest number of votes so that the victory of President Nicolás Maduro is an unobjectionable triumph.”
- “To the gringos who are there who are asking for sanctions, we will be telling them that this is a free, sovereign people, an independent people, that do not eat coba from anyone, no matter how big they are.”
He warned that opposition extremism is preparing the agenda of post-electoral violence under the excuse of having committed a “fraud”, so he urged the People to be prepared to defend peace:
- “The imperialist candidate will come off as a fool to say that there was fraud here, a lie! The truth is that they don't win elections because they don't have the votes.”
He highlighted the need to strengthen the Government of the People, and therefore urged leaders to maintain continuous contact with communities:
“Like Commander Chávez, our brother president Nicolás Maduro, we are leaders of the people, we are not leaders of the elites, we are not leaders of surnames, we are not spokespersons for imperialism (...) We are from the Fatherland.”
- “The love with which the People receive us in every mobilization is because we identify with all these struggles as always, we identify with the battles of people from all these sectors.”
- “The right wing will never worry about solving the problems of our people and rather it becomes an obstacle to overcoming the difficulties of the community.”
