This Monday, March 24, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, led the red awning press conference to give details on issues of national and international interest.
In that regard, he reaffirmed the willingness of the Bolivarian Government to support Venezuelan migrants, who are being persecuted and mistreated by the United States and satellite governments that play the game. In addition, he questioned those who insist on promoting campaigns against our compatriots.
- “We thank the Government of Honduras for all its support for this operation to return Venezuelans to their homeland, who are being deported, after being persecuted in the United States just because they are Venezuelans.”
- The Bolivarian Government will continue to receive Venezuelans “with joy, as brothers,” he added and pointed out that those who are counting on justice will face it, “but we cannot call them all criminals, that's not true, what's more, I can say that from the review 16 of these 199 that arrived have a search link by security agencies (...) none of the Aragua Train”.
- “We receive them as human beings, we take them to the doctor, we check them psychologically (...) Back to the Fatherland, truly Back to the Fatherland for everyone”.
- “We have a task, we have a task that is to collect signatures so that all our children come back.”
- “This collection of signatures must be our voice in the world to denounce with our signature, with our presence, the acts of kidnapping against Venezuelans in El Salvador, that they return them to us, that all our children return. And if someone has committed crimes here, they will face Venezuelan justice where they committed them.”
- “Welcome to demonstrations of solidarity with our people, in the face of the attacks to which migrants are subject.”
- This Tuesday, a march will take place that will reach the National Assembly (AN) “in support of our migrants” and in rejection of those who, in “the most vile, most cowardly way”, justify violent acts against Venezuelans.
- “I really don't expect the UN Secretary General (António Guterres) to speak out about this, I have no hope with that, that other organizations have no hope; let's do what we have to do but welcome acts of solidarity, from the Peoples and Social Movements of the world.”
- “President Bukele is a kidnapper (...) What crime did these Venezuelans who have been kidnapped in Salvadoran territory commit? No one has committed a crime in Salvadoran territory.”
- The action of the Bukele government “is a demonstration of arrogance, but in addition to submission, they use the territory of El Salvador to have Venezuelans kidnapped without having committed crimes in El Salvador. The world is seeing that”
- “Their neurons melt (...) in their brainy analysis that the only credible thing is that they worked for us and we were their bosses; it doesn't occur to this person that they were deceived into leaving Venezuela, but above all they were mistreated in the United States and have been fleeing, and returning to their country is a reason for joy; it doesn't occur to them, but they are very intelligent”.
Regarding the electoral issue, Cabello highlighted that the PSUV will accompany the Popular Consultation on April 27 and that this week it will announce the candidates of the Revolution for May 25.
- “This week, our candidates must come out for the elections of Governors, the National Assembly and the Legislative Council, ready women and men, after consulting the grassroots, using measurement mechanisms and the agreement with the Great Patriotic Pole, which also have their mechanisms.”
- “They have until tomorrow (Tuesday, March 25) to upload the projects, we have to accelerate where that work has not been completed, they have to accelerate it so that they go to the Consultation.”
- “The President (Nicolás Maduro) has said it, whoever feels that this is not a policy of the Revolution and does not finance the projects cannot be a candidate for mayor or governor (...) Commune or nothing.”
He also referred to the Venezuelan opposition that remains divided on the electoral issue; as well as to those who show from the Argentine embassy in Caracas and who are now asking to be helped to get out. In addition, to remember the past of characters such as Leopoldo Castillo and Edmundo González in crimes in El Salvador.
- “The opposition today doesn't know what they're doing, you don't know if they'll register and if they have candidates, they're all scarred by acts of corruption due to abandoning their own people.”
- “They broke into the Argentine embassy, no one forced them” and he assured that they used a space that should be neutral “as a space to conspire”; “they have 9 months without electricity, but you see that every week they give a video conference, they have an internet connection. How do they do it? Are they wizards? (...) Pure show!”.
- “The news came to me, that she wants to talk to me. I don't know her, I don't know who she is either. She has to talk to her boss, who was the one who got her into it (...) those who brought her in get her out.”
- “Leopoldo Castillo and Edmundo González know about killing people, they know about murdering people, about chasing people and about working for the CIA, both.”
On the other hand, he referred to the actions of the United States, stressing that Venezuela does not control them and rather adapts to face whatever comes.
- They just renewed his Chevron license for two more months, “we don't control it, we adapt”.
- “We are working not to mention that this will favor us as a country, as a people. They invoke a law of 1798 to say that Venezuelans are enemies.”
- “That they invoke a law of 1798 that has only been used three times, is a consequence of what these irresponsible people (extremist right wing) asked for.”
“We prepare for all the attacks against our people and seek to overcome them.”
