This Monday, March 17, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, led the customary red awning press conference, in which I support the position of the Venezuelan State in the face of the persecution of our compatriots in the world by the United States and its satellite governments.
In that regard, he reaffirmed the rejection of the Law that the United States Government dusted off to persecute and humiliate Venezuelans.
- “We are concerned about everything that has been happening with respect to our country, after the U.S. government dusted off a law of 1798 and the decree presented by the imperialist government (...) which aims to persecute, humiliate and enslave Venezuelans.”
- Venezuelan migrants are “good men and women, workers dedicated to their families”.
- Donald Trump's policies seek to “intimidate, persecute and intimidate Venezuelans in the world.”
- “They have declared Venezuelans a war target. That is the war that the United States wants to bring to the world. The 70 million poor people inside them are not enough for them, they want everyone to be poor because of wars.”
- “Someday they will have to govern for those 70 million poor people they have in the United States.”
- It has become clear that there is no rule of law with the approval of the anachronistic Foreign Enemies Act invoked by Donald Trump.
He also criticized the silence of some leaders of the extreme right and the complicit statements of others in the face of the kidnapping of Venezuelan migrants in the United States, who were transferred to prisons in El Salvador under false accusations and without due process. In addition, d stated that the issue of migration for imperialism has always been a business.
- “Has anyone heard María Corina Machado say anything? Has anyone heard Magalli Meda say anything? Has anyone heard Edmundo González say anything? Let us remind the country and the world that Edmundo González was the one who initially proposed that they be taken to a third country. That's there, that's public, notorious and communicational, that he stated it and wrote it down.”
- Opposition sectors turned the migration of Venezuelans into big business and that “is duly proven with facts, through testimonies they orchestrated a band of coyotes that charged Venezuelans for the journey to the United States.”
- “Has the Vente Venezuela party said anything? Zero. Did Andrés Velázquez say anything? Zero. Did Pérez Vivas say anything? (...) They are behind this. Whoever has eyes that sees, whoever has ears that hears.”
- “After María Corina, Leopoldo López, Julio Borges, Juan Guaidó, Paparoni, Vecchio, Pizarro, Ledezma, Smolanski became rich because of the Venezuelans who left (...) now the business continues.”
- “Six million dollars a month will be paid to the fascist Nayib Bukele.”
- “Bukele should see himself in the mirror of US partners, what happens to them next, he should, but he's drunk, drunk with hate.”
In addition, he also questioned the silence that some world presidents and international organizations keep in the face of this treatment against Venezuelan migrants.
- “If any media outlet or one of those who have spoken (about migrants) says something, they swallow it alive, because they are part of this infamy against our people, they condemn us and point to us.”
- “It's a shame that, at this point in the year 2025, there are governments that are implementing these ferocious methods of persecution, fascism, Nazism; and that organizations like the UN, so far not saying anything, are keeping quiet.”
- “We have seen in the media and on the networks the treatment of some Venezuelans in El Salvador, humiliating, vexatious treatment, criminalizing them, reducing them. Isn't there anyone in the world who says anything? Where is the UN (United Nations Organization) located? And I'm going to tell the presidents who are quiet: Now they're going for their Peoples.”
For this reason, he reaffirmed that the Bolivarian Government will raise its voice with the People to denounce to the world the treatment of our compatriots who are good people and not members of criminal gangs, as the campaigns promoted by imperialism and its lackeys have shown.
- “Venezuela, right now, is demanding maximum unity.”
- “We demand that they respect our migrants, that the provisions of the International Organization for Migrants of the United Nations (UN) be complied with (...) migrating is not a crime, punishing is.”
- a great march “to shout to the world that Venezuelans are being stigmatized, singled out and persecuted in the world with Nazi and fascist practices promoted by Venezuelan politicians and carried out by the imperialist government of the United States”.
- “If you have a friend, a family member, an acquaintance, go and march too, because it's all the people of Venezuela that are being attacked (...) We are going to take these signatures to all instances so that they can return our Venezuelan brothers to us. We are going to go everywhere, to knock on every door we can touch, in defense of our migrants.”
- “We are giving a response of dignity and height with our migrants wherever they are.”
- “We need national unity and the investigation is already underway. The investigation is rolling on. Wherever they go, in truth, they deserve all the punishment, they are bad human beings, but they are very bad, they are terrible, they are perverse, they do not love this country and much less do they want Venezuelans.”
- “Venezuela claims its children, we are not going to rest until we look for ways to bring them all. You are children of Venezuela, come to your country, here is your family, here we are; we never persecute you.”
