Western Theater Festival will present 200 artists in Portuguese

The Western Theater Festival, 40th edition, will be held in Guanare, Portuguese state, between December 4 and 7, with a total of 32 activities and 200 artists on stage, as reported by the director of the event, Emilger Arroyo, together with the director of the entity's Culture Cabinet, Rubén Uzcátegui, and the director of the state's Institute of Culture, Ysbel Muñoz.
“This is a rich cultural showcase for the enjoyment of the Portuguese public, with the participation of three national groups, including the National Theater Company, Pilgrims and Teatro Sede, as well as 15 regional groups, such as Botarata, Matex, Eleven Producciones, Compañía Regional de Barinas, among others,” Arroyo reported, according to information from the Ministry for Culture.
He also noted that the complete, accurate programming and schedules can be consulted through his social networks , especially on his Instagram account @fto_venezuela.
In this regard, three spaces were arranged for the functions, such as the Alberto Ravara and Federico Collado room of the Herman Lejter Theater Center and the Bahareque room of the Cabinet of Culture, both located in Guanare.
It should be noted that, prior to the opening ceremony, on December 3, there will be a parade with the band José Antonio Páez, dances, circus and the participation of the National Theater Company, with a route that will start from the mayor's office of Guanare to the state government.
Special events are planned, such as the inauguration of the Anibal Grunn reading room, on Thursday, December 5 at 9 a.m. The fourth edition of the magazine Resolana will also be published, which includes a collection of poems and was scheduled for Friday, December 6.
In addition, there will be a line-up of actors with the theme of oral stage narration in the Bahareque room, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. On the other hand, theater actors Federico Collado and Margarita de Zapata will be honored, as well as a posthumous tribute to Alberto Ravara and Francisco Leonti.
