Vladimir Putin: Venezuela is Russia's reliable partner in Latin America

“Venezuela is an old and reliable partner that Russia has in Latin America,” said the president of the Eurasian giant, Vladimir Putin, while noting that because of this circumstance they support the Caribbean nation's entry into the BRICS group.

“Strategic relations between our countries are developing and growing to offer win-win cooperation in all sectors,” Putin stressed during a bilateral meeting with his Venezuelan counterpart Nicolás Maduro.

The Russian president also stressed that both nations are jointly carrying out a series of projects in the energy, pharmaceutical, transport, peaceful use of outer space, and the use of new technologies.

“Russia and Venezuela together seek to form a new, more just world based on the rule of law without the need to use neocolonial approaches to interfere in the internal affairs of other States,” he stressed.
