Vladimir Putin: The process of forming a multipolar world order is under way (+BRICS)

This Wednesday, heads of state, leaders and representatives of the countries attending the XVI BRICS Summit, held in the city of Kazan - Russia, meet during the second day of the meeting.

“The process of forming a multipolar world order is under way, it is a dynamic and irreversible process,” Russian President Vladimir Putin told those in attendance, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

On the international scene, Putin said that “we have strived to strengthen the authority of the BRICS and enhance their role in global affairs and in dealing with pressing global and regional problems.”

The BRICS organization is “strengthening its authority on international issues,” said the Russian president and urged its members to consider how they can address the most relevant problems on the global agenda, including serious regional conflicts.

Likewise, the president pointed out that global trade and the economy are undergoing significant changes: there is a shift in balance towards developing markets. This is helping BRICS States and the Global South.
