Vladimir Padrino López: We will defend this country to the last of our efforts

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and the Venezuelan people will defend until the last of their efforts this homeland bequeathed to us by Simón Bolívar, said the Minister of Defense, G/J Vladimir Padrino López.

“The enemies of Venezuela who maintain their historic obsession with our territory must know that the greatest obtination and zeal of the soldiers of the FANB is the defense, to the last centimeter of this homeland,” said the senior military officer during the acts of transferring the immortal remains of Brigadier General Domingo Antonio Sifontes to the national pantheon.

In this regard, from the Venezuelan military academy, he pointed out that this determination was evidenced by the execution, by the FANB, of a joint military exercise on our Atlantic façade in the presence of a British warship in waters to be delimited.

He also congratulated the participation of the Venezuelan people in the consultative referendum in defense of our Essequibo.

He also rejected the visit that, this Tuesday, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for the Western Hemisphere of the United States, Daniel Erikson, and the former director of the CIA, Mike Pompeo, are making to Guyana to the neighboring country.

“This fact undoubtedly allows us to be certain that the cruelty against Venezuela, the defense of the criminal activities of its transnationals, and of the puppet governments of Guyana are a matter of interest to the United States,” he said.
