The Venezuelan Football Federation (FVF) reported that Vinotinto defender Teo Quintero will not play in the next South American qualifying matches against Argentina and Paraguay.

In this regard, the FVF specified that Quintero was diagnosed with Meniscal Syndrome in his left knee that, despite the fact that he complied with due rest, “the symptoms re-emerged, so a surgical treatment was decided”.

The Venezuelan national team will face the current world champion, Argentina, at Monumental de Maturín, and days later they will travel to La Asunción to play against Paraguay, according to the Radio Miraflores website.

Vinotinto coach Fernando “Bocha” Batista will have about 40 players for both games, which are expected to include a large group of novice soccer players, including Nicola Profeta, Leenhan Romero, Lorenzo D'Agostini, Yiandro Raap, Victori Fung, Alessandro Milani, Luis Balbo, and others.
