The Vinotinto de las Altura U18 defeated its counterpart from Puerto Rico in its debut in the
FIBA AmeriCup category, with a score of 80-69.
In the match played at the Obras Sanitarias stadium,
Buenos Aires, Argentina, for Venezuela, the following stood out for Venezuela: Jeiminson Márquez with 24
points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists; followed by Estoyan Vargas with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 qualifications.
While Diego Sulbarán contributed 17 points, 7
rebounds and 7 assists.
In the next group stage match, Vinotinto will
face the Dominican Republic, on Tuesday, May 04 at 2 in the afternoon and
on Wednesday 05 they will face Canada at 11:40 in the morning.
