The Venezuelan soccer team arrived this Tuesday at noon in the city of Bogotá, Colombia, to begin its preparation for the World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Peru.

With almost all of the players called up by Fernando Batista already joined the group, Vinotinto faces two significant absences in defense. Miguel Navarro, right back, was the first to be left off the list after retiring from training due to pain in his left thigh. Added to this setback was Rubén Ramírez, who suffered a tear in the anterior rectum of his right thigh, making it impossible for him to travel to Colombia.

Despite these casualties, the national team is focused on its work in Bogotá, where it refines tactical details before meeting Ecuador in Quito this Friday. After the match, the national team will return to Venezuela to face Peru next Tuesday, in what is anticipated to be a crucial commitment to their world championship aspirations.
