Vinotinto announces preliminary call for preparation for the 2024 Copa América

The Venezuelan soccer team, La Vinotinto, announced the preliminary call for 30 players to prepare for the 2024 Copa América, which will be played in the United States (USA).

Roberto Rosales, Rómulo Otero and Josef Martínez are among those called up by technical director Fernando “Bocha” Batista, who left out left-back Renné Rivas, Caracas FC goalkeeper Wuilker Fariñez and forward Alejandro Marqués.

In the defensive back, there will be Jhon Chancellor, from Metropolitanos FC and who will play in the final of the Open Tournament of the Futve League 2024 and Carlos “Pipo” Vivas, from Deportivo Táchira.

Also noteworthy is the presence of Kervin “Tuti” Andrade, who shows his talent at Fortaleza in Brazil. David Martinez is not on the list due to a back injury.

The preparation of La Vinotinto will take place starting June 7 in Bradenton, Florida. The final list of 26 players will be announced the week before the start of the competition.
