Villegas: About 10,000 drums will rumble at the Viva Venezuela World Festival

Through the social network X, the Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, reported that they have the goal of having about 10,000 drums accompany the Viva Venezuela World Festival, which will take place on May 10 in the spaces of the Simón Bolívar Monumental Stadium in Caracas.

“We set ourselves an unprecedented goal: that at least 10,000 drums rumble that day for José Leonardo,” Villegas wrote on the social network, after holding a working meeting with the Afro-Venezuelan movement and the National Promoting Team of the Great Mission Viva Venezuela, my dear Homeland.

He also indicated that they also agreed to “align efforts for a massive participation of the Afro movement in the inauguration of the Viva Venezuela World Festival next Friday, May 10, Afro-Venezuelan Day, in tribute to the enslaved rebellion led by José Leonardo Chirino in 1795.”

In the same way, he reiterated the invitation to the Festival, which will be completely free. “The event is at the Monumental Stadium in Caracas “Simón Bolívar”. Friday, May 10. Free entry,” he wrote.
