From
November 27 to 29, the 7th Congress of African and Global Southern Knowledge will be held
in Caracas, where proposals to overcome the asymmetries of the
countries of the global south will be addressed through face-to-face and virtual presentations.
According to
information from Venezolana de Televisión, the activity is organized by the
Center for African, American and Caribbean Knowledge, the
Miranda International Center (CIM), the Simon Bolivar Institute for Peace and Solidarity between Peoples (ISB), and
the Second Step Foundation for Our America.
The speaker of
this Congress, Franklin González, highlighted that the activity will have two tables: the
first will address the current international situation, and how the
global south fits into that situation; and the second, the proposals for the global
asymmetries between the global south and the global north.
He explained that today
, the word that is most heard is “war” and it is a reality that
occurs in the world. In this context, three countries stand out; on the one hand, the
United States, which wants to continue its domination, and in front are nations that
are powers such as China and Russia.
He also stressed that, at this Congress, national and international delegates will present proposals. In addition, he recalled that it will be carried out with the support of the Ministry of People's Power for University Education and the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs.
