Vice President Rodríguez: Venezuela and Russia shield their economies against savage blockades

During the closing of the XVIII Meeting of the High-Level Intergovernmental Commission (CIAN) Venezuela - Russia, this Thursday, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted the importance of the agreements signed on this day to protect the economies of both countries, “against wild blockades”.
At the Miraflores Palace, in Caracas, Rodríguez also highlighted that this edition of the CIAN is aimed at “making our economy diversified, independent and sovereign, that sovereignty prevails in our cooperation and that everything we do in these 13 subcommissions is aimed at making Venezuela more sovereign and making Russia more sovereign.”
In this regard, he pointed out that both countries will be able to confirm that their complementarities “served to send a message to the world also of what international relations should be of respect and economic, commercial and financial cooperation aimed at making us freer and more independent,” he emphasized.
The Executive Vice President emphasized that Venezuela and Russia are moving forward with a clear and sure step “from what will be our 2024-2030 cooperation and looking beyond to the future. It is Venezuela's power, it's Russia, which is a great country, a great power today in the world and also in the economy, who combine their efforts, their best will and their friendship to strengthen their ties of cooperation and to do so for the sake of the happiness of our peoples.”
