This Thursday, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, during the Extraordinary Plenary of the V Congress of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), highlighted the importance of activating the economic recovery plan promoted by President Nicolás Maduro.
The vice-president stressed the importance that, “with our own efforts, we were able to overcome difficulties”, and, in the years 2021, 2022, 2023, it was the recovery “of Venezuela's foreign exchange earnings”
“I will tirelessly repeat the phrase: 'with my own effort'. Our revenues were 7.5 billion dollars; we are still a long way from the pre-blockade phase, but we are also far from the year 2020 where we experienced the worst difficulties and we were coming from a process where the economic blockade also suffocated Venezuela's productive capacity in all industrial instances and services,” he stressed.
He also praised the capacity of workers within the framework of the first objective of economic transformation, which also aims to accelerate economic growth. “The president said this in 2018 and many were skeptical about the possibilities of recovery in the framework of a blockade so tight and so criminal and so perverse for the destruction of a country,” he said.
“Here we are standing, here we are inventing, here we are creating with the creative capacities of the People as Aquiles Nazoa said: 'I believe in our People', we believe in our People and that miracle is what has happened, that creative capacity of Venezuela,” said Rodríguez.
In this regard, he valued the role of private sectors, the movements of peasants, fishermen and the productive capacities of State companies. “It is a national cohesion based on a strategic objective that is the productivity of Venezuela and that is why President Maduro devised, in the Bolivarian economic agenda, Venezuela's strategic productive engines for growth,” he said.
