This Thursday, the Executive President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, during the International Seminar on Economic Development 2024: Economic Transformation in the New Global Context, in Caracas, stressed that the United States (USA) has no productive intentions in the region.

“54% of GDP is made up of services such as financial intermediation, trade, government, there is no productive concept for our region and that responds precisely to the geopolitical interests of the United States in our region,” reflected the executive vice president.

He also stressed that North America's interest is to invest in its own development “but not to develop our countries or our region” and explained that such action for them “is structurally deficient in the current account.”
