The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, heads the ministerial commission that is going to the state of Sucre to deal with the emergency due to the rains caused by the passage of Hurricane Beryl in the state.

From Simón Bolívar Airport in Maiquetía, in the state of La Guaira, Rodríguez said that the commission responds to the coordination that President Nicolás Maduro has been carrying out with regional authorities since dawn.

“We are currently leaving a committee of Ministers to address the situation that has been generated by the rains resulting from the displacement of Hurricane Beryl across the Caribbean Sea, to address the situation of water, communication, housing, people who are still missing,” he said in a video released on his X account.

He indicated that President Maduro “has ordered the deployment of both the National Risk System and all the ministerial portfolios responsible for very specific responsibilities.”
