Vice President Rodríguez evaluates rehabilitation and beautification works for the Caracas Metro

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, met this Tuesday with the Metro Se Mueve Contigo Plan team to review the progress, completed and pending work that has made it possible to rehabilitate the Venezuelan capital's underground transportation system and enhance its service to the people despite the imperial economic war that has blocked access to spare parts, advice and specialized material.

“Today we met with the team behind the Plan “Metro Moves With You! ”, which continues to make progress in the rehabilitation and beautification of the Caracas Metro. Following the guidelines of President Nicolás Maduro Moros, we continue working to confront the attacks of the extremist right against public services and thus guarantee the tranquility and well-being of the people,” the senior official published on her social networks.

Rodríguez said that the work that began in September 2022 is well under way, during which time the recovery of the physical infrastructure of each of the metro stations has been achieved. It showed that, as part of the comprehensive functioning of public services for the people, the president is at the forefront of these works, and as the main means of transportation, the Metro is essential.

“We are deepening the workers' area, by direct order of President Maduro,” said the official in a video posted on her account on the social network X.

He also repudiated opposition political extremism, when this week an individual caught on camera damaged an escalator at a station. “There is always a commitment of extremism to act against the welfare of the people,” he stressed.
