Vice President Delcy Rodríguez met in Caracas with her Russian counterpart Dmitry Chernyshenko

In the context of the XVIII meeting of the Venezuela-Russia High-Level Intergovernmental Commission (CIAN), this Thursday, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, received her counterpart from the Government of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Chernyshenko, in Caracas.
From the headquarters of the Ministry of People's Power for Petroleum, Rodríguez welcomed Chernyshenko and his entourage with a tour of a photo gallery, which outlines the important milestones of the bilateral relationship between the two nations, reports Venezolana de Televisión (VTV) on its web portal.
Earlier, the Russian Co-President of CIAN was received at the “Simon Bolivar” International Airport in Maiquetía by Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil, who stressed that “this meeting represents a valuable opportunity to strengthen our strategic alliance and continue to advance in various areas of cooperation between our countries”.
Since its establishment in 2004 and in recent years, the CIAN has helped to strengthen ties between the two nations that are making unstoppable progress in areas beyond energy, such as agriculture, science and technology, health, as well as the economic, educational and cultural sectors, all this added to military cooperation.
