The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, met this Tuesday with the President of Vietnam, Luong Cuong, as part of her work schedule during her official visit to the Asian country.
During the meeting, held in Hanoi, Rodríguez thanked the Venezuelan people for their support and friendship, in addition to conveying the greetings of President Nicolás Maduro.
“Thank you for all the support that Vietnam has given to Venezuela in times of economic aggression against our Homeland through the imposition of more than 900 unilateral coercive measures,” he said.
Rodríguez stressed that Vietnam and Venezuela maintain “close cooperation in international spaces” and an “extraordinary bilateral relationship in different areas, to boost binational trade.”
For his part, the Vietnamese president said that this working visit by the Venezuelan delegation will contribute to the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two nations.
“We highly appreciate our bond of friendship and cooperation with Vietnam's traditional friendly countries in Latin America, as well as with Venezuela in particular, and I am fully convinced that this important visit by you, Madam Executive Vice President, will contribute even more to strengthening our framework of comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and Venezuela,” she said.
