Puerto Ayacucho was dressed up as a cultural gala with the inauguration of the 19th edition of the Venezuelan International Book Fair (FILVEN) at the Amazonas Cultural Center. This event, which will run until Saturday, June 1st, is a melting pot of literary and artistic expressions.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Secretary General of the Government of Amazonas, Analí Herrera, who highlighted the importance of literature and art as means to touch the soul and transmit emotions and knowledge that transcend everyday life.

In addition, the opening day was adorned with diverse cultural presentations, including the Magisterial Drum Movement in honor of San Juan, led by Lourdes León, and performances by the Napiruli School of Arts and the Gabriela Mistral School.

With 12 exhibitors that include publishers from various fields and booksellers, FILVEN Amazonas offers a wide range of literary works for all tastes and ages.

Attendees have the opportunity to immerse themselves in an enriching program with book presentations, conferences and workshops, as well as enjoying recreational and cultural activities, including the Children's Pavilion.

This literary encounter is possible through the joint organization of the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture, the National Book Center, the State Cabinet of Culture and the Government of Amazonas, who come together to celebrate and promote the love for reading and culture in the region.
