In an atmosphere of joy and joy upon arriving in their homeland, the 178 migrants deported by the United States government shared the words of welcome from the sectoral vice-president of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón.

Singing the glorious notes of the Venezuelan national anthem, this group of compatriots thanked the Bolivarian Government for managing their transfer to Venezuela and set themselves up for any investigation into any cause in the Venezuelan justice system.

“Thank you for saving us”, was the expression most heard on this CONVIASA flight that took these Venezuelans from Honduras to where they were taken by U.S. authorities after being imprisoned for long periods in the North American nation.

Cabello also commented that this group of migrants confessed that they had not eaten for three days and that before boarding the repatriation flight, they were handcuffed for more than three days, showing the marks caused on their wrists.

Cabello highlighted from Maiquetía Simón Bolívar International Airport that these compatriots are coming to their land, to their homeland, thanks to the Plan Back to the Fatherland.

These 178 new compatriots are being repatriated from Honduras under the “Return to the Homeland” program, which the government of President Nicolás Maduro has arranged for the return of almost one million Venezuelans since 2018, amid growing efforts to repatriate citizens who face difficulties abroad.
