Venezuela opened with victory against Bolivia in the duel that marked the debut of both teams in the South American under-17 tournament held in Cartagena, Colombia.

The goals of this match were scored by Deportivo Miranda's strikers, Diego Claut and UCV FC, Yimbert Berroterán, in the 26′ and 77′ fractions of the match, respectively.

With this victory, those led by Oswaldo Vizcarrondo take the three points at the start of group B. The next day, the red wines rest and will return to action on Tuesday, April 1 against Ecuador (8:00 p.m.), at the Jaime Morón León stadium in Cartagena.

Two days later, they will face the Brazilians (8:00 p.m.), and they will finish the first phase of the tournament at the Jaraguay stadium in the city of Montería against Uruguay, on April 5 at 5:30 p.m.

The national team is looking for its third classification in the under-17 tournament that distributes seven places to the top event in Qatar, which will be held from November 5 to 27 of this year.
