During the second day of the XXXI International Tourism and Hotel Industry Fair (MIIT) 2025, in Moscow, Venezuela stood out with an active participation that reaffirms its commitment to the development of the tourism sector and the diversification of the national economy.

During the day, the Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Leticia Gómez, led a series of key meetings together with the Venezuelan ambassador to Russia, Jesús Salazar, and the Venezolana de Turismo (Venetur) -Moscow team.

During these meetings, the head of the tourism portfolio developed a productive work agenda with the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Vakhrukov, as well as with representatives of state companies, financial institutions, tour operators and travel agents, with the objective of continuing to advance the strategies established by President Nicolás Maduro, focused on boosting the country's tourism engine and taking advantage of the vast potential that Venezuela offers in the sector.

These meetings are essential to consolidate the strategies of the National Government, where they strengthen ties of cooperation and exchange with tour operators and international companies, with the purpose of positioning the Venezuelan destination in the world market.

The Venezuelan delegation highlighted the potential of the country's tourist destinations at Eurasia-MITT 2025, an event that brings together leading travel industry specialists and industry leaders from 54 Russian regions and 36 countries.

With a diversified offering, encompassing natural landscapes, vibrant culture and a rich historical heritage, Venezuela is positioned as an attractive destination for international travelers.

The active participation of the Caribbean nation in this important event reaffirms the country's commitment to developing its tourism sector and contributing to economic growth, through the promotion of its wealth and attractions.
