Venezuelan Symphony Orchestra celebrates its 95th anniversary in Guatire with a tribute to Vicente Emilio Sojo

The Venezuelan Symphony Orchestra (OSV) will pay tribute to Maestro Vicente Emilio Sojo with a series of activities from January 15 to 17, 2025.
Sojo, recognized as one of the most important composers and musical directors in the country in the 20th century, left a legacy of numerous classical pieces and significant work as a pedagogue, training several generations of musicians.
The activities will take place in Guatire, Miranda state, coinciding with the celebration of the 95th anniversary of the founding of this musical group, which was conceived by Sojo in 1930.
The event will feature experts in musical teaching, who highlight its importance as a pioneer of the nation's symphonic movement.
The program includes a Memorial Mass on January 15 in homage to Sojo and the orchestra's trajectory, followed by a solemn session to highlight the institution's achievements and award personalities in the musical field.
In addition, the Itinerant Photographic Exhibition continues, where a visual journey through the 95-year history of the OSV will be exhibited with the exhibition Vicente Emilio Sojo and his time. In addition, the Special Concert, as well as the San Pedro Symphonic Party.
Meanwhile, on January 16, the Chamber Concert will be held, in which the emblematic pieces of Venezuelan and universal composers will be performed.
There will also be a tour of the U.E.N. Vicente Emilio Sojo. Later, the Unveiling of Master Sojo's Mural and Bust. The 17th of this month will be the closing of the Photographic Exhibition.
