The Venezuelan left-handed starting pitcher for the Yomiuri Giants, Yohander Méndez, made his debut in the preseason ahead of the upcoming Japanese Professional Baseball (NPB) contest.
The Venezuelan pitched for four blank episodes, in which he allowed only two hits, awarded one ticket and struck out three rivals.
According to a sports press review, the Venezuelan claimed victory in his team's victory over the SoftBank Falcons at the Pay Pay Dome in Fukuoka.
