The Venezuelan 3×3 basketball team started the 2024 Ayacucho Bicentennial Bolivarian Games on the right foot, in its first two games it defeated Guatemala (21-12) and the Dominican Republic (16-15).

With these two victories, Venezuela is the leader of Group B.

The Creole men's team is made up of José Bracho, José Rodríguez, Ernesto Hernández and Wilkerman Gómez.

“We are proud to already be in this position, we have to stay focused, we have to look for a single victory, this is a tournament that does not allow mistakes or mental gaps, because we would have only two games left to get what we came for, which is the gold medal,” said José Rodríguez after the victory against the Dominican Republic, as reported by the Minporte press.

For its part, the women's team, made up of Bárbara Pico, Mariana Durán, Waleska Pérez and Raymar García, began its participation with a victory against Ecuador (15-9).
