were announced,
Venezuelan midfielder Jefferson Savarino was included in the ideal lineup of the season in
the Brazilian Football League, Brasileirao.
According to sports
media reports, Botafogo, a team in which the Venezuelan player plays, was one of the big
winners of the awards. Savarino was in the ideal
lineup in Serie A along with his teammate
Marlon Freitas, Rodrigo Garro, from Corinthians, and Alan Patrick, from Internacional.
This recognition
of the Venezuelan in the ideal lineup came after his team won
the Copa Libertadores last week. Botafogo also won the Brasileirão
championship after 30 years of drought this weekend by beating Sao Paulo 2-1 with a goal from
the Zulia native.
In addition to being
in the ideal lineup, Savarino was among the nominees for the award for the best
player, which in the awards is known as the Golden Ball. Savarino finished the
season with a total of eight goals and seven assists in 28 games.
He started 22 games and competed for the prize alongside Alan
Patrick and the winner Estevao del Palmeiras.
