Venezuelan Fradimil Macayo won the FEDELATIN belt of the WBA

The Cumanese Fradimil Macayo won the World Boxing Association (WBA) lightweight FEDELATIN belt with a victory over Cuban Idalberto Umara on the night of the WBA Drug Knockout that took place at the Hotel Caribe Royale, in Orlando, Florida.

In his first performance in the United States, Macayo sent the Cuban to the canvas once in a great performance on the ring that earned him the victory by unanimous decision.

“This was part of a great sacrifice, I felt very good after so long of absence and I was able to put on a great fight. Two thanks to the WBA and its president Gilberto Jesús Mendoza for this opportunity,” said Macayo after his victory.
