The Minister for Foreign Affairs and
International Trade of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Félix Plasencia
González, participated this Thursday in the inauguration of the exhibition project
“Confluences”, at the Convention Center of the Hotel La Llovizna, in Puerto Ordaz, Bolivar state.
During the opening ceremony, the foreign minister reaffirmed the
commitment of the Bolivarian Government to the preservation and dissemination of the national cultural
heritage, stressing that the Amazonian and
Orinoquense identity represents a living treasure that connects the ancestral roots of Venezuela with the world.
The exhibition initiative was promoted by the
Miragua Foundation, C&FE Collection, Abra Gallery and National Museums Foundation, an entity
attached to the Ministry for Culture. The exhibition weaves a unique dialogue between
the material culture of the original peoples and the expressions of contemporary art
.
Attendees can enjoy - until January 24,
2027, from Tuesday to Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. - an exhibition
tour that brings together four immersive experiences: Orinoquia,
Memory of the Jungle, Nomatuma (dedicated to warao fabrics) and a selection of the work of the Yanomami artist Sheroanawe Hakihiiwe.
With this initiative, the Ministry for
Foreign Affairs and International Trade not only celebrates the art and culture that
define identity, but also promotes spaces for encounter between
diplomacy and cultural wealth.
