After holding a day of prioritized care in Barcelona from April 2 to 4, the Consular Relations Office (ORC) of the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs moved to the Consulate General of Venezuela in Madrid, where this Monday, April 7, the operation of the processing of apostilles began, which will run until Friday, April 11.
During the inauguration of the prioritized care operation in Madrid, the Venezuelan ambassador to Spain, Gladys Gutiérrez Alvarado, accompanied the Consul General, Nancy Lira Ochoa, to verify that all phases of the process were proceeding smoothly.
Applicants for the apostille procedure must go in person to the Consulate headquarters -located at Calle de Eloy Gonzalo, 40 in Madrid, at the exit of the Iglesia metro-, present an original and a copy of their Venezuelan documentation (ID and/or passport), two (2) printed copies of their appointment and the document to be apostilled.
The day, which provides for uninterrupted service from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., in addition to apostilling documents, allows other procedures to be carried out, such as user changes and the rescheduling of appointments in the Electronic Legalization and Apostille System (SLAE).
With this reinforcement of apostille care, promoted by the Foreign Ministry of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Venezuelan consular authorities expect to process nearly 4,000 documents from compatriots residing in Madrid, Catalonia and other nearby Autonomous Communities.
The Consulate of Venezuela in Madrid makes available to interested persons the information related to consular procedures available on the website www.consuladodevenezuelaenmadrid.com, and invites citizens to keep abreast of consular news by following @consvemadrid, the official account of the Venezuelan consulate, on Instagram.
