Venezuelan Ambassador to Saudi Arabia delivers Credentials to Prime Minister

The designated ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of
Venezuela to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, David Velásquez Caraballo, presented his Credentials to the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Middle Eastern
country, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, on
Wednesday.
Through his account on the social network X, the Minister of Popular
Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, wished the new ambassador
“success in his diplomatic management to strengthen the bonds of friendship between our peoples”.
In June 2023, in the context of his visit to the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia, President Nicolás Maduro met with Al Saud, in the
city of Jeddah, where they deepened the ties of strategic partnership,
under the principle of mutual respect and self-determination of peoples.
Caracas and Riyadh maintain a
long-standing bilateral relationship, strengthened by their participation in the Organization of Petroleum Exporting
Countries (OPEC), in which both are co-founders, ranking as the
countries with the largest proven oil reserves, accounting for more than 300 billion and 298
billion barrels of crude oil under their surface, respectively.
