Venezuela will participate with 34 athletes in the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games

The Ministry of Popular Power for Sports and the Venezuelan Olympic Committee fine-tuned the logistical details to ensure the comprehensive support of the 34 national athletes who will represent the country in the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, an international sporting event that will be held from October 31 to November 13 in Senegal with the attendance of more than 2,700 competitors from around the world.
The selection of the Creole delegation was made through the invitation system implemented by the International Olympic Committee and international federations in 15 disciplines, including athletics, 3×3 basketball, boxing, fencing, women's futsal, judo, swimming and beach volleyball, an extraordinary competitive scheme that will measure emerging talent in the first edition of an Olympic joust on African soil.
In addition, the Venezuelan representation will be assisted in the field by a multidisciplinary team composed of specialists in sports medicine, technical staff and high-performance physical trainers, institutional deployment aimed at ensuring the optimal performance of young athletes and consolidating the development of generations of relief on the international stage.
