A delegation from the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela will be present at the 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE), which will be held from November 5 to 10 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.
The Venezuelan representation is made up of 42 companies, which will showcase their exportable offer within the Food and Agricultural Products Area, in a space of 85 thousand square meters specialized in high-end healthy foods, products with geographical indications and global gastronomic specialties.
In the hydrobiological field, the participation of companies such as Pacific Seafood (Sucre) and Agrolago de Occidente (Zulia) stands out, the latter holding the international ASC (Aquaculture Stewardship Council) certification, which guarantees sustainable and high-quality practices.
It is expected that, during the international event, a Letter of Intent will be signed with the China Aquatic Products Processing and Marketing Alliance (CAPPMA), an agreement aimed at streamlining and facilitating the formal entry of blue crab and other Venezuelan fish products to the Chinese market.
The Venezuelan delegation is made up of members of the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture, the Vice Ministry of International Trade, the Export Promotion Agency (Venexporta) and the Foreign Trade Bank (BANCOEX), as well as personnel from key technical and logistical organizations in the export chain, such as the Socialist Institute of Fisheries and Aquaculture (INSOPESCA), the Corporation of Serviços Pesqueros S.A (CORPESCA), the Venezuelan Coffee and Bolivarian Port Corporation (BOLIPORTS).
