The Deputy Minister
of Foreign Affairs for Latin America, Rander Peña, thanked the International Democratic Federation of Women (FDIM) of El Salvador for
the solidarity of the International Democratic Federation of Women (FDIM) with the Venezuelan migrants kidnapped in
the South American country.
“The
strong condemnation of these inhumane actions and the complaint of the violation of the human
rights of our compatriots are an act of solidarity and justice
that reflects the FDIM's unwavering commitment to the principles of
dignity and human rights,” Peña said in response to the Salvadoran organization's statement.
In the text, the
FDIM denounced that the governments of Donald Tump in the United States (USA) and Nayib
Bukele in El Salvador are advancing a “policy of mass criminalization,
based on racial and xenophobic prejudice.”
Peña reiterated that
Venezuela “categorically rejects the kidnapping and illegal transfer of 238
Venezuelans to a concentration camp in El Salvador, where an emergency regime
prevails that denies minimum citizen guarantees and where serious human rights violations have
been documented.”
“We thank the
FDIM for its support to the demands of the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of
Venezuela and the affected families, demanding the
immediate and safe release and repatriation of our compatriots to Venezuela. Their solidarity is a
beacon of hope at this time of deep concern and indignation,” he
said.
He also
ratified the commitment of the Bolivarian Government of President Nicolás Maduro “
to continue fighting for the liberation of our
Venezuelan brothers and sisters, and for respect for the human rights of all migrants,
regardless of their nationality or condition.”
