Venezuela thanks the Communist Party of the United Kingdom for congratulations on the 25th anniversary of the Revolution

Through his account on the social network X, the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, thanked the Communist Party of the United Kingdom for its congratulations on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Bolivarian Revolution.

In the name of the Bolivarian People and Government, the foreign minister valued the words “of encouragement regarding the future of this important project, which has left an indelible mark on the hearts of many people and has inspired struggles around the world”.

In a letter, the Communist Party of Great Britain specified that the Bolivarian Revolution “marked a rupture with the neocolonial regimes through which U.S. imperialism dominated the economic, political and social conditions of the people of Venezuela. The lives of the masses of people in Venezuela under pre-Bolivarian regimes were characterized by imperialist exploitation and domination, extreme poverty, indigence and degradation.”

He also noted that “we have great hopes, and we express our conviction, that Venezuela will achieve economic progress through the expropriation of the oligarchy that still controls large swathes of the Venezuelan economy and, on many occasions, keeps the Venezuelan people kidnapped.”
