Venezuela strengthens trade relations and investment plans with Vietnam

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Vietnam, Pham Minh Chin, where he reaffirmed the importance of strengthening the bond between the two nations. He also discussed the need to strengthen collaboration in multilateral spaces.

Through the social network X, the foreign minister said: “We reaffirm the importance of strengthening bilateral ties, focusing especially on trade and investment opportunities, in order to promote the well-being and development of our peoples. We also discuss the need to reinforce close collaboration in multilateral spaces.”

Gil previously announced that he met with his counterpart from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Bui Thanh Son, at the government Guest House in Hanoi, where he discussed the progress of cooperation agreements and the preparations for the Fourth Joint High-Level Intergovernmental Commission between Venezuela and Vietnam, in addition to the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations next December.

“Our shared objective is to reach new agreements that meet mutual needs, focusing especially on the economic sphere,” he said.
