The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, on behalf of the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, expressed his regret with the People and Government of Spain, in the face of the effects caused by the passage of the DANA climate phenomenon, which has claimed the lives of more than 60 people.

“We express our deep regret to the people and government of Spain, for the serious loss of human life and damage caused by the devastating floods in the south and east of the country, especially in the Community of Valencia,” said the Venezuelan Foreign Minister through his Telegram channel.

In this regard, he transmitted his “words of condolence to the families and loved ones of the victims, as well as a message of encouragement to those who carry out the tasks of searching and helping people who are still missing and at risk in these critical hours”.

On this same day, Spain confirms 62 fatalities and dozens of missing persons in the province of Valencia and Dos Castilla-La Mancha as a result of DANA.
